The Asphalt Pavement Alliance developed the prestigious Perpetual Pavement awards to recognize long-life asphalt pavements in the U.S. and honor asphalt pavements demonstrating outstanding design and construction.

The Perpetual Pavement Award recognizes State Agencies and other owners of pavements that had the foresight to build pavements according to these principles. This award honors Perpetual Pavement projects that are at least 35 years old, have not suffered a structural failure and have an average interval between resurfacing of no less than 13 years.
About The Perpetual by Performance Awards
State agencies and road owners have recognized the value of owning Perpetual Pavements. The APA will accept nominations for newly designed and constructed asphalt roads built over new subgrade that meet perpetual design.
About The Perpetual by Design Awards
Many owners are recognizing the benefits associated with converting existing roads to perpetual ones. The APA will accept nominations for new asphalt roads constructed over an existing road that meet Perpetual Pavement design criteria.
